There’s a character waiting for you on the Greenway Carousel
This season, the Greenway Carousel is open until January 3 for families to visit and take a ride on this unique ADA accessible carousel that features 36 hand carved characters.
Tickets are available on site at the ticket booth, with bulk tickets at discounted prices.
There is a carousel birthday party package also available.
In addition, the Greenway will have free carousel days and family programs soon.

Last movie at Columbus Park
Get a blanket or chair ready for the last movie of the summer on Christopher Columbus Park on Atlantic Avenue hosted by the Friends of the Park.
Find a favorite spot on the park to view the movie, Field of Dreams on August 23 at 7:15pm.

NEMPAC 10th annual Soiree September 24
Under the watchful eye of the Paul Revere Statue the North End Music and Performing Arts (NEMPAC) will host its 10th annual Soiree at Paul Revere Mall on Hanover Street on Thursday, September 24.
The annual gathering raises funds for the community Music School and Performing Arts Center.

NEW Health fundraiser challenge
The North End Health Center’s fundraising year runs through September 20, with a challenging gift of $5,000 from EQengineeread if NEW Health reaches its fundraising goal of $10,000.
Every donation brings NEW Health closer to unlocking this challenge and trigger the additional funds.
Join North End residents and community activist Toni Gilardi, NEW Health board member and the rest of the board to meet this challenge. Donations are tax deductible.
Greenway Food Truck Festival
The Wharf District will be the site of the annual Greenway Food Truck Festival on August 22 to close out the summer.
There will be 15 food trucks, artisan vendors, family friendly crafts and activities for all ages including mini-golf, an inflatable obstacle course, free face painting and much more.

Greenway calls for Models
Kids and families, ages 5 and up, are wanted to participate in a Greenway video session to highlight their Birthday Party program at the Carousel.
The videoing will take place on Wednesday, August 26 at the site of the carousel from 9-11am.
Participants will receive a free one-year pass to the carousel or discounts on 2026-2027 birthday parties.

September events on the Greenway
Lantern Festival
Vendors, lion dancing and cultural performances will be a part of the returning Chinatown Main Street Lantern Festival scheduled for September 12. This event usually draws a large crowd.
Boston Local Food Festival
Sustainable Businesses Network’s Boston Local Food Festival will take place on the Greenway on September 20.
The festival features nearly 100 fresh produce and local artisan food vendors, a seafood cooking competition, chef demos, family activities and more. Try it you might like it.
Let’s Dance Boston
Dewey Square will be the site of the returning Let’s Dance Boston from September 23 to 27.
The event offers free lessons from top dance instructors including Salsa Lindy Hoop and line dancing. Dance the night away with new found skills from live bands.
