Star Market Donates $2,500 to NSC

Star Market has donated $2,500 to support the North End and West End food pantries and congregate meals program. The group also attended the opening of the new Star Market at 90 Causeway St.

The Center reminded shuttle uses that the shuttle to Start Market in Somerville has been canceled. A new shuttle schedule has been established with pickups and drop offs remaining the same.

Although the NE/WE NSC serves all low-income groups most of its clients are seniors and its services to them include advocacy as well as food assistance in the form of North End and West End food pantries, meats and SNAP applications.

“The new market will support all of the Center’s work and improve residents’ lives in the neighborhood,” according to the NSC.

“Seniors and staff are thrilled to do their shopping at the new Star Market,” NSC also noted.
