Based on several reports issued by the District A-1 Boston Police Department released at the North End Public Safety monthly meeting the community still ranks as the safest neighborhood in Boston.
While police are still struggling to reduce crime of all kinds in many other neighborhoods, the North End crime rate continues to decrease and all Part One categories.
This is obviously due to the hard work of the police and their ability to respond to the needs and recommendations of residents and the business community.
Public safety meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 6pm in the Nazzaro Community Center.
Attendees can get first-hand reports at the meeting and have an opportunity to express opinions and make suggestions directly to the police.
 While police are doing a good job decreasing crime in the community, they need input from the neighborhood.
