Salem Street Starting to Look Good

Salem Street refurbishing by the City of Boston Department of Public Works (DPW) has made a difference to the busy street.

Sidewalk repairs and new lighting help improve the appearance of the one-way street that leads to the Old North Church, and there is more to come.

DPW is expected to re-pave the street and Bartlett Place will be turned into a public area with trees, flowers and benches for residents and shoppers to enjoy.

While the City of Boston came through on these projects, it is important that the community understand that their District One Boston City Councilor Sal LaMattina played a key role in making these repairs and additions to Salem Street.
