Don’t remove North Square chains

The maritime designed chains in North Square are from the USS Constitution and were placed in North Square around the time of the 1976 Bicentennial and should remained in the public square.

Boston Public Works (BPW) needs to reconsider removing the chains in their ongoing design process.

Many residents and abutters, told BPW at a public meeting, that they feel the chains should remain.

Apparently other neighborhood meetings will be held to hopefully finalize the design plans for the square. Maybe this time around, the chains will remain in the plans.
