Now that the City of Boston Municipal elections are over and a new mayor and a new Boston City Council has been determined, it’s time to get to some real business.
Many issues, concerns and other matters need to be addressed as soon as possible.
First of all, the city needs to generate new revenues to provide for education, public safety, jobs, citywide roadway repairs, housing and many other projects needed to make the city livable.
While Casino revenue, if one is built in Boston, will certainly help the cause, however let’s not put all our eggs in one basket let’s start developing more revenue sources to make the city and its many neighborhoods top shelf, places where people want to live, work and have plenty of recreational open space.
The year 2014 will be a new era for city politics and the public needs to know and understand the system to make things move forward in a positive manner.
The voters of Boston have put their political figures in office and they can certainly vote them out of office if they do not produce.
