Nine Cooper Street is the potential site of a new six-story building that will be fifty-five feet high, the limitation imposed in the North End.
The owner, Elaine DiGangi has proposed six units of rental apartments of which the top two floors will be owner occupied and a roof-deck which will only be used by the owner.
The other rental apartments will be one bedroom and two bedrooms.
Plans call for an elevator and new fire escapes in lieu of emergency access.
While the North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association has supported the plans, the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council will discuss the issue at their April monthly meeting.
