Public Works Department Responsive to Community Suggestions

It’s not easy making everyone happy with developing something in the North End.

However, it appears that the City of Boston Public Works Department (PWD) has done just that with its rehabilitation project at Bartlett Place a small area just off Salem Street.

Following a public meeting to obtain suggestions from residents relating to the dos and don’ts of the city funded project, the agency returned to the drawing board and designed a plan that everyone appears to be pleased with.

This is the way government is supposed to work, that being, with input from residents on proposed projects and developments in their neighborhood.

As far as Bartlett Place, it was a complete team effort that resulted in positive results.

Kudos to the City of Boston PWD for handling this issue with total communications within the community and the area elected officials.
