Crime is apparently down in the North End over the past year according to District A-1 Boston Police report that clearly lists a drop from 189 to 160 reported crimes.
During the month of September 2012, there was a substantial decline in larceny from motor vehicles from 20 to 4. Auto theft was also down over the past 30 days from 3 to 1. Larceny (minus car breaks) stayed the same at 6. Only one robbery, the cannoli incident at Bova’s Bakery. Breaking and entering went from 6 to 7 and sexual assaults went from 0 to 2.
There were no homicides, graffiti or community disorder on the record.
Police also made 8 arrests and broke-up several loud parties and noisy gatherings on North End streets.
