New Council Ready to Take on the Task

Anne Devlin Tagliafaro, the longest standing North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council member, topped the ticket in the recent community election picking up 138 of the 239 votes cast.

Anne captured over sixty percent of the vote on her way to another two-year term on the Council which acts as an advisory board to City Hall.

The Council is a twelve person board that meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7pm at the Nazzaro Community Center, 30 North Bennet Street.

Agenda items include requests and proposals that directly impact the community in one way or another.

The public meetings are open to the public who are encouraged to attend and express their point of view on each applicant’s plans.

While at times some requests are tabled for various reasons, for the most part the Council votes on the requests at the monthly meeting.

NEWNC has three committees: Public Safety, Parking and the Greenway.
