Rocco Balliro

North End Resident

Rocco A. Balliro of Boston’s North End died January 18. He was 75 years old.

The son of the late Angela (Richardi) and Rosario C. Balliro, he was the brother of Mary Tzannos, Francis Bent, Lucille Winship, Rosario (Billy), Bruno Balliro, the late Josephine (Novello), Florence (Monteforte), Rosalie (Foy), Joseph, Frank, Salvatore (Rudy) Balliro and the very special friend of Dan and Mary Zimmerman. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Carmen Giannato

Of Stoneham, formerly of the North End

Carmen “Camillo” Giannato of Stoneham, formerly of the North End of Boston, died on January 22.

He was the beloved husband of the late Angelina (DiOrio) and loving father of Ralph and his wife, Charlotte Giannato of Stoneham and Sandra Giannato of Malden; loving grandfather of Tiffany and her husband, Michael DeBeradinis of Wakefield; loving great grandfather of Devin DeBeradinis; devoted brother of Mary Giuggio of Stoneham and the late Anthony and Jennie Giannato and Dolly Abramo.

Funeral arrangements were by the Cincotti Funeral Home, Medford. Burial was in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Boston, MA.

George Coviello

Of Revere, formerly of the North End of Boston

George D. Coviello of Revere, formerly of Boston’s North End, died on January 22.

He was a former employee of H.W. Powers Candy Company and the beloved husband of Nancy (Palermo); devoted father of Steven Coviello of Methuen and Kenneth Coviello of Revere; dear brother of Richard of Lynn, Rosemarie Steph of Reading, Fredrick of Whitman, Charles of Saugus, James of Stoneham, Kathleen Sorace of Revere, David of Everett and the late Patrick and Gloria Giglio. He is also survived by two loving grandchildren, David and Matthew and many nieces and nephews.
