A community open house was held at the Pilot House, 2 Atlantic Ave. to discuss climate readiness ongoing initiatives relating to Downtown/North End in the face of climate change.
The City coordinated open house presented a forum for people to understand current and future flood risks that could impact the areas, by talking to experts.
Attendees were able to provide their input for a key consideration for designing near-term and long-term solutions to protect the neighborhood. Â Â Â
In the North End, the City plans to make necessary repairs along Langone Field which is endangered to be overrun by seawater that could flood the Little League Field, the Bocce Courts and the children’s playground, possibly more areas
