Registration is currently being accepted for the North End Hockey Introduction program which runs October 2016 through early March 2017 at the Steriti Skating Rink on Saturday mornings.
The program is for children ages 5-12 (some exceptions) and teaches the fundamentals of hockey in a fun atmosphere according to Daniel Toscano who has been organizing the community event for three years.
Development and strengthening skating skills are emphasized along with proper stance, balance and agility, he noted.
Key objectives are to enhance starting, stopping, gliding, skills backward and forward, lateral skating, basic puck handling and shooting drills, Toscano added.
Use of knowledgeable coaches, has made the program a huge success, he concluded.
Space is limited. For details contact to Toscano at 617-646-4428 or dtoscano@dtlawllp.com.
Check should be made out to North End Sports and mailed to Daniel J. Toscano, 15 Broad Street, Suite 610, Boston, MA 02109.
