This year’s Friends of Christopher Columbus Park Family Fun Festival despite being very chilly and windy turned out to be a great success with a large gathering of moms, dads and children participating in the fun filled activity.
“It was an afternoon of fun and surprises,” FOCCP President Joanne Hayes Rines said. “So fun to see the little kids laughing and playing with their dads helping with the crafts.”
The festival began with a parade winding through the park with children and parents wearing Halloween costumes.
A free event, the festival also featured music, storytelling, balloons, bubbles, face and pumpkin painting, crafts, games and much more.
Sponsors for the successful community activity included: Boston Harbor City Cruises, Meet Boston, Joe’s Waterfront/Tavistock, Matt Conti Photographer, Marriot Boston Long Wharf, CL Properties, Boston Parks and Recreation, City of Boston, Carey Alexander and Chris Bassett.
