Crime Continues to Drop in North End

Crime in the North End continued to drop over the past 30 days according to a District A-1 Boston Police Report presented at a Public Safety meeting held last week in the Nazzaro Community Center.

While auto theft went from none to three over this period, larceny from a motor vehicle dropped from twelve to four and there was one aggravated assault reported, also there were two breaking and entering, same as last month.

The crime stats presented by Captain Bernard O’Rourke and Officer Ted Boyle showed no homicides, sexual assaults, robberies, graffiti or community disorder.

The assault took place on Endicott Street, a domestic incident, and an arrest was made.

The two break-ins took place on Prince and Commercial Streets. The auto thefts took place on Richmond, Cross and Moon Streets. One of the vehicles was a motor cycle.

There were two larceny of a motor vehicle on Endicott Street and one each on Commercial and North Streets.

During the previous month 14 motor vehicles were towed, 116 motor vehicles violations were handed out and 336 parking citations were written.

Police also responded to five loud parties at 153-157 Endicott Street, 40 Fleet Street, 95 North Margin Street, 1 Noyes Place and 183 Endicott Street.

Captain O’Rourke told residents that his officers have been checking out the areas that residents reported incidents have occurred in the past. The Captain asked residents to continue to report anything suspicious to 911.

The next Public Safety meeting will held on Thursday, January 5 at 7pm in the Nazzaro Community Center, 30 North Bennet Street. All residents are welcome to attend.
