Free bocce night sponsored by the West End Community Center was held at Langone Park on Atlantic Avenue.
It was a great event opportunity for younger people to connect with to connect in a casual relaxed setting and enjoy a night out.

The center’s fiscal year comes to an end on September 30, so there is still time to help NEW Health to meet the challenge.

In just two days, the Friends of Armenian Heritage Park will celebrate Armenian’s Independence Day with a gala event on Saturday, September 19 from 1-8pm. Rain date September 26.

As the community knows by now, the North End Librarian Catherin Halpin has taken a position at the Central Library.
Taking her place is a familiar face Liz Blake who filled in last year. She will remain at the library until her own branch in Fields Corner has completed construction and re-opened.
North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) artists and musicians will perform live at the Paul Revere Mall on Thursday, September 24. The party at Mia’s roof deck hosted by DePasquale Ventures will have a live auction and dancing.

Friends of the North End Library (FONEL) have started to hold meetings again to discuss and plan for upcoming activities and programs for the fall and beyond.
FONEL supports the local library by helping to supplement budget needs through volunteer efforts, an ongoing book sale and The Wishing Tree.
This support allows staff to share the library’s most pressing needs.
FONEL is seeking additional volunteer members to help the library in several ways by becoming a member, serving as treasurer or bookkeeper. Join the book sorting team, suggest lectures, book reviews, performers or other programs.
