In the near future, the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) possibly in March, will hold a public meeting to discuss the finalization of the potential sale of the North End Nursing Home by Spalding.
Following a lengthily community endeavor to keep the Fulton Street home from closing and other residents transferred to another facility, a potential sale is in the making that will keep the nursing home open with new clients being accepted.
The 34-year-old structure will also undergo reconstruction without moving any occupants out of the building.
Representatives from the new owners will attend and brief residents on their plan of operation and answer questions.
Several elected officials and/or their staff will attend the public meeting geared toward putting the issue to bed.
NEWNC held the first nursing home public meeting.
