Waterfront Residents Oppose Lewis Wharf Proposal

An informational meeting with the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) to discuss a potential proposal to develop a boutique hotel and approximately 30-50 residential units on the existing pilings of Lewis Wharf, a throng of Waterfront residents opposed the idea.

They actually filled the Nazzaro Center Hall, the hallways and were picketing outside of the building carrying signs that read, “Save Our Waterfront”.

JW Capital Partners didn’t even send a representative from their firm but had a local lawyer speaking on their behalf.

Waterfront residents sent a very clear message of opposition to allege plans and hopefully JW Capital Partners received the message loud and clear.

It appears that the potential developer needs to meet with Waterfront residents to discuss this or a revised plan
