NEAA clinic and instruction baseball players to go to Sox game
Fifteen players, parents and coach Chris Filiberto of the North End Athletic Association (NEAA) baseball clinic and instruction program, through the generosity of the Niki Jr. RBI Baseball Program, and the Boston Red Sox attended the first of three-game series versus the San Francisco Giants and former Red Sox star Raffi Devers.
Prior to the game, joined by their coach, the players (4–5-year-olds) participated in the Niki Jr. RBI parade and walked around the warning track in the historic park.
Following the pregame activity, the group sat down and viewed the Sox beat the Giants 6-4 on their way to a three-game sweep taking the next two games 3-2 and 5-4.
“We have partnered with the Red Sox for over 25 years,” NEAA Sports Coordinator John Romano said.
“The Niki Jr RBI Program provides us with shirts, hats and baseball equipment,” he added. “They also provide many other opportunities throughout the season for our players, families, coaches and we are truly grateful for the partnership with the Red Sox all these years,” Romano added.
The NEAA has participated in many Red Sox games over the years.
