White New Police Commissioner

Boston has a new Commissioner of the Police Department, Dennis White who was the Superintendent in the Department and Chief of Staff to the Commissioner. White replaces William G. Gross who retired on January 29.

The new top cop is a “proven leader who is trusted and respected by the community,” according to Mayor Martin Walsh. “He is respected by his colleagues in the Boston Police Department.”
