NEMPAC Delivers Sold “Amore” Performance at Lucia Ristorante

A sold-out evening of opera and music theatre songs about “Amore” was presented by the North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC) on Saturday, February 11 at Lucia’s Ristorante in the North End.

North End Music and Performing Arts Center entertained customers at Lucia’s Ristorante with opera and music theatre songs about “Amore.”

“Besides the terrific performances, guests enjoy a delicious three-course meal, including beautifully crafted hearts-shaped homemade raviolis, paired with stunning vocals presented by four professional singers,” according to NEMPAC.

Song favorites like “Qui la Voce” from Bellini’s Opera, I Puritanti, Musetta’s Waltz from La Boheme and Bernstein’s “Tonight, Tonight” from West Side Story.

Soprano Lindsay Conran, baritone Tim Gorka, tenor Joel Edwards, soprano Jennifer Jaroslavsky, pianist Melanie Rucinski and artistic director Rebecca Miller, all NEMPAC artists made the dinner show the success it was.

Also, in attendance were Senator Joe Boncore, NEMPAC Board President Diane Boyle and NEMPAC Executive Directors Sherri Snow.

The dinner opera was hosted by Lucia’s Ristorante and Anna and Fillipo Frattaroli.

“Amore” kicked off NEMPAC’s upcoming 2018 Opera Project season and their 8th annual production on January 21 and January 23 at Faneuil Hall, The Great Hall.

A full opera production of Don Giovanni, by Mozart will be performed with orchestra in Italian, with English super titles. Professional singers, musicians, and artists will be led by stage director Rebecca Miller, and conducted by Dr. Tiffany Chang.

            Artist heard at the “Amore” Concert have sung in past Opera Project productions and/or will join the NEMPAC Opera Project for its upcoming season. Tickets will go on sale on March 1, 2080 at www.nempacboston.org/tickets.
