Little League sponsors come through, again

Once again, the usual sponsors, have come through for the 2018 North End Athletic Association NEAA Major League (Little League) program.

It’s always nice to know that these community minded organizations and businesses can be counted on to sponsor teams each year.

Sponsors are: Regional Review, Saint Anthony’s Society, Saint Agrippina Society and Ted Tomasone.            Opening Day and ceremonies will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 12 noon at Langone Field.

John Pregmon an asset to the neighborhood

John Pregmon has become a valuable asset to the North End/Waterfront community.

Besides being President of the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC), a community elected Board that takes on local issues and requests, John is extremely active with several other organizations as a volunteer for many sports activities and events.

John has invested much of his free time to help with many local events and should be recognized for his contributions to the neighborhood.

Dog Park ceremonies to be held

It’s been a long-tail, but the official opening of the new dog park in the Gassy will take place on Saturday, April 28.

The ceremonies will take place once all the construction has finally been completed and everything is up to sniff.

RUFF and invited guests will participate in the grand opening of this great place for canines and their owners.

Barking dogs with tails wagging will be in there and may even give you their paw.

Successful community       event held

An outstanding Valentine Day Coffee Hour, was held at the North Bennet Street School, which was enjoyed by the many community residents and others that attended the well-organized special neighborhood events.

The very successful Coffee Hour was well coordinated by the Friends of the North End Library, Friends of Christopher Columbus Park and the North Bennet Street School.

The Coffee Hour was such a success, there is already talk of putting together another event next year.

FOCCP provides free activities on the Park

Once again, the Friends of Christopher Columbus Park (FOCCP) have come up with another schedule of events and activities to be held in the park.

Each year, the community organization provides free public programs to North End/Waterfront residents and hundreds of visitors.
