Numerous Activities Scheduled for Pride Week

There are still many free activities and programs planned for the rest of the week as part of North End Against Drugs 25th annual North End Family Pride Week which includes North End Family Pride Day on Sunday, August 10 starting at 12 noon.

Activities that are planned are a movie night, a jamboree, a senior concert, a puppet show, a family night, baseball and softball games and much more.

Some of the events include….

Family Movie Night: R.O.C. will sponsor a North End Family Movie Night featuring the flick “Grease” at DeFilippo Park (Gassy) on Wednesday, August 6 at 7pm. Chinese food will be served. A Luau Super Slide, a Moonwalk and more will be available for children to enjoy. The event is free.

North End Jamboree: A North End Jamboree will be held in the Polcari playground on Thursday, August 7 at 2pm. The free community event includes, a Drug and Alcohol Prevention and Education Program for parents and children. Other activities are a poster contest, a play and a drug skit provided by local kids.

Representative Aaron Michlewitz will sponsor a free senior citizen concert and pizza party on Thursday, August 7 at 5:30pm in the Polcari playground. The concert will feature the sounds of Al Natalie’s Big Band Orchestra.

Boston City Councilor Sal LaMattina will sponsor a free puppet show at the North End Library on Friday, August 8 at 11am. The show features Magpie Puppets.

NEMPAC and My Summer in the City will sponsor the 2nd annual Family Night in the Prado with a live band, music performances, activities, snacks and refreshments. The event is free.
