A North End man was recently arrested and charges with drugs and firearm possession. A series of other charges were also levied on the Cooper Street resident.
Boston Police had received information from multiple sources that the suspect was involved in dealing large amounts of marijuana and cocaine.
A drug purchaser, after being stopped and questioned by police, identified the North Ender he purchased the drugs from and police quickly approached him.
Police searched the Cooper Street resident’s vehicle and the room where he lives, finding several items.
Both suspects were arrested. The buyer was from Saugus.
Boston Police will update residents on this matter and present other crime statistics at their monthly North End Public Safety meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 4 in the Nazzaro Community Center, 30 North Bennet Street starting at 6:30pm.
