Old North Church resumes food program

Piccoli Regali (Little Gifts) has begun its third year hosted by the Old North Church until April 23, 2011.

The program is neighbors helping neighbors by distributing small bags of food to North End residents on Saturdays to compensate for other food programs generally not available on weekends.

Piccoli Regali is held at the Clough House, 21 Unity Street (behind the church) from 10am to 12:30pm.

The neighborhood endeavor started three years ago and is sponsored by church parishioners. The program regularly helps 25-30 North End residents each weekend.

Guests are welcome to enjoy a cup of tea, a cookie and some conversation with  volunteers.

For more details call the parish office at 617-523-6676.
