Four art organizations operating in the North End and Downtown Waterfront community will receive grants funded by the Boston Cultural Council.
A total of $472, 955 in funding is being provided by the City of Boston and Mass Cultural Council to support 181 arts organizations projects.
Receiving grants are: The Paul Revere Memorial Association, North End Music and Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC), the Boston Arts Festival and the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, according to Maria Lanza, Liaison for Boston Neighborhood Services Department.
Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh said, “This is an exciting time for the City of Boston because we are investing in organizations and projects that have the potential to enhance Boston’s arts and culture community.â€
           He added, “I’m looking forward to see how these organizations use art to lift up and inspire Boston’s communities.â€
