North End spring cleaning scheduled for April

Love Your Block (formally Boston Shines) a high impacted spring cleaning program in Boston that encourages residents to improve the quality of life in neighborhoods, will take place in the North End on April 28-29 starting at Paul Revere Mall (Prado) at 10 AM.

North End resident Maria Lanza and staff from the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services will coordinate the spring cleanup. Tools for cleanup will be made available and must be returned to the Mall where volunteers can enjoy refreshments.

Love Your Block is still Boston’s cleanup program in the spring but it will now be part of a larger initiative promoting neighborhood revitalization.

Residents or groups can sign up for year-round cleanups, apply for innovative beautification mini-grants and make use of city provided tools.
