Albina Citro

Lifelong North End Resident

Albina Citro,  a lifelong resident of the North End, passed away on February 20. She was 97 years old.

She was the daughter of the late Michele and Christina (Petrosino) Citro; dear sister of the late Anthony Citro; dear cousin of Albina “Tina” Giardiello of Boston, Prisco F. Giardiello of Hanover and Maria Palumbo of Franklin; loving aunt of Michael Citro of California, Veda (Citro) O’Neill of New Hampshire, Linda (Citro) Genovese of Stoneham, and Robert Citro of Texas.

All funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27 at St. Leonard Church, 320 Hanover St, Boston beginning with an hour of visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and followed by a 10:45 a.m. Funeral Mass. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Boston. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend.

Charles ‘Charlie’ Vozzella

Of the North End

Charles “Charlie” Vozzella of Boston’s North End died on February 14.

He was the beloved husband of Jean (Terravecchia); devoted father of Angelo Vozzella of Lunenburg, VT and Charles Vozzella and his wife, Michele of Stoneham; loving grandfather of Thomas and Elizabeth Vozzella, both of Vermont, Michael Vozzella and his wife, Stefania of Wakefield and Jenna Vozzella and her fiancé, Matthew DeCicco of Reading; loving great-grand-father of Giovanna, Ava, and Sofia;  brother of Albert and Stanley Vozzella and Olympia (Ollie) Cavagnaro. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements were by the Dello Russo Funeral Home, Medford. A Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Leonard Church, Hanover Street, Boston. Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Charles’ name may be sent to “Activities Fund” at Spaulding Nursing & Therapy Center-North End, 70 Fulton Street, Boston, MA 02109.
