Full Agenda is Planned at Tonight’s ZLC Meeting

Tonight’s (February 26)  North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association Zoning, Licensing and Construction Committee monthly meeting has a full agenda of requests to be discussed before they go to the full association meeting in March.

Sandra Russo has applied to change the use of the first floor at LuLu’s Sweet Shoppe, 57 Salem Street to include take-out in order to serve ice cream at the existing bakery/candy shop.

Louis Finaccharo is seeking to convert the three family residential building at 3 Garden Court to a four-story residential dwelling.

Elaine DiGangi is seeking to add a six-story addition at 9 Cooper Street and legalize as a seven residential building.

NE Frog Pond LLC has applied to change the legal occupancy at 283-285 Hanover Street from four apartments and store to four apartments and retail store (Pinkberry Frozen Yogurt) with take-out service.

Billy Tse Restaurant, 240 Commercial Street has applied to the Boston Public Improvement Commission to add seasonal outdoor sidewalk seating to the existing restaurant and also plans to seek an amendment to the current all alcohol beverage license to increase seating capacity.

Chris Young has filed an appeal for zoning relief to add a second story to the existing building at 78-80 Salem Street and to expand the existing first floor restaurant, Trattoria Pulcinella into the second floor. The owner has filed revised architectural plans for new windows along with a request to add a condition that the roof not be used by restaurant patrons.

The NEWRA Executive Committee has approved the ZLC Committee’s recommendation that a letter of no objection regarding an application by Carla Gomes to operate a takeout restaurant, Cobblestone Cafe at 227-237 Hanover Street. The restaurant operating hours will be 7am-11pm Sunday through Thursday and 7am-midnight Friday and Saturday. Seating capacity will be 18 at the former location of Hot Tomatoes.

The committee meeting will be held tonight, Tuesday, February 26 at 7pm at the Mariners House, 11 North Square.
