Woman Assaulted/Robbed on Hanover Street

While walking down Hanover Street, near Commercial Street,a female victim reported to police she was pushed from behind by a female subject about 11:15pm.

Reportedly, a fight ensued between both females with the suspect’s boyfriend intervening, apparently tossing the victim down on the pavement and punched her in the face.

According to a District A-1 Boston Police report, the suspects smashed the victim’s cell phone on the sidewalk and stole money from her purse. The subjects reportedly fled on foot up Hanover Street toward Charter Street.

Boston Police detectives are following up on the August 17 incident that occurred near Commercial Street. Police will provide more information and present an update on the assault, battery and robbery incident.
