Judean Elizabeth Langone

Poet and North End Resident

Judean Elizabeth Langone of Boston’s North End died peacefully in Watertown after a battle with cancer on July 20.

The daughter of Joseph A. Langone III, sister of Madelene, Maria, Diane, Clementina and Joseph (Lonnie), she was a daughter, sister, auntie and beloved friend. First and foremost she was a poet.

Roseanne Ameno

Family Nurse Practitioner

Rosanne (DiLeo) Ameno of North Reading died on July 22.

Mrs. Ameno was a Family Nurse Practitioner at Lynn Community Health Center where she provided comprehensive healthcare to the community, regardless of ability to pay. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she managed the McGlaughlin House in North Reading, a transitional living facility for adults with brain injuries. She also worked as a Visiting Nurse for pregnant and parenting teens at Family Service of Greater Boston, a Visiting Nurse on the Psychiatric Team at the Malden Visiting Nurse Association and the Charge RN at Franciscan Children’s Hospital. She received her Post-MS, MS and BS degrees in nursing from the University of Mass. Boston and her BS in psychology from Boston State.

She was the beloved wife of Michael Ameno; mother of Michelle, Gennaro and Mario Ameno, all of North Reading; daughter of Mario and Rosemarie DiLeo of East Boston and daughter-in-law of Gennaro and Adeline Ameno of the North End; sister of John DiLeo and his wife, Deana of Virginia, Lorraine DiLeo of East Boston and Steven DiLeo and his wife, Susan of Methuen; sister-in-law of Carl Ameno of the North End and Sofia Raffael and her husband, Ernie of North Reading. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral arrangements were by the Cota Funeral Home, North Reading. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Guy ‘Tony’ Pulpi

Of Melrose, Formerly of the North End

Guy “Tony” Pulpi of Melrose, formerly of Everett and the North End, died on July 24.

Mr. Pulpi was a US Army veteran of World War II and  a member of both the Holy Name Society and Bowling League of St. Stephen’s Church in the North End.

He was the beloved husband of 69 years of Rose (Oteri); father of John Pulpi and his wife, Marlene of Melrose and Josephine Pulpi Felice and her husband, Patrick of Saugus and is also survived by six grandchildren: Debra Pulpi Friedlander and her husband, Ed of Essex, Kimberly Pulpi of Boston, Susan Felice Marroni and her husband, John of Melrose, Marc Pulpi and his wife, Jean of Reading, Christine Felice Cosgrove and her husband, James of West Hartford, Ct. and Jennifer Felice Scacchi of Melrose and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were by the Salvatore Rocco and Sons Funeral Home, Everett. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Pulpi’s memory may be made to Life Care Nursing Home, 25 Woodland Rd., Stoneham, Ma. 02180 Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. www.roccofuneralhomes.com
