North End Basketball Banquet Draws 150 Participants

A joint effort by the BCYF, Nazzaro Community Center and the North End Knights basketball leagues put together a well-attended (150 people) banquet held at the Center’s Gym.

Nazzaro Center Administrative Coordinator Steven Siciliano and John Pregmon Director of the Saint Leonard’s Knights along with many volunteers working together for the North End Athletic Association/Nazzaro Center Small Fry/Instructional League and the BCA Knights basketball program.

Players, families and friends enjoyed a luncheon celebrating their participation in the programs offered this season.

The luncheon featured a buffet including antipasto, chicken wings, eggplant rollatini and much more provided by Artu, Massimino, Tony and Elaine’s and Bodega Canal.

According to Steven and John the program and banquet would not have happened without the help of all the volunteers that gave their time to both programs.

Aaron Michlewitz, Maria Lanza of the Mayor’s Office, NEAA, Paolo Tizzano, Gianni Frattarolli, Nick Frattaroli, all the coaches, Nazzaro Center staff including Small Fry League Director Manny Montrond, Patricia and John Romano, official photographer Lydia Siciliano, Ava Siciliano and Good Sports for donating all the game balls.

John and Steven wished everyone and to enjoy the spring and summer. “We’ll see you next year for another exciting basketball season,” they commented.
