Placement Evaluations for Charlestown Soccer Fall Season to Take Place

Placement evaluations for Charlestown Soccer’s Fall 2018 travel soccer season will take place over the course of the first two weeks in June.  Sessions will run for roughly one hour and 15 minutes, following the check in period. Placements are field evaluations of all our potential players conducted by independent contractors, and are used to create rosters that fit into appropriate divisions within the Middlesex Youth Soccer League. The schedule and details on what’s involved are below.

All placements will take place at the Charlestown High School fields on Medford Street.  There is limited parking immediately next to the Charlestown High School field, so please walk if at all possible.

All players will be required to register in order to participate in the placements. Registration for the Fall 2018 season is now open on the CYSA website at http://charlestownsoccer.com/Registration. Please register at least 24 hours prior to your placement session, because the placement system needs to be primed with the registration data.

If you are not ready or able to commit to playing in Fall 2018 at this time, but want to attend the evaluation session to inform a Spring 2019 team placement, please register at http://assn.la/Reg/?r=2:175989, which is a $0 registration that ensures we have the player information in our system.

Players move up to the next age division based upon their grade, with some additional date of birth limits. When registering, please confirm the accuracy of your player’s grade in the system, and email info@charlestownsoccer.com if the grade or date of birth on record are incorrect.

Please carefully review the times below and the age groups to make sure you are entering your player into the correct placement session.

The outcome of the placement session is not the only component used in evaluating players. The more information the team placement committee has, the better your chances of accurate placement. However, it is understood that unavoidable conflicts can arise, and if you find yourself in that position you MUST contact Charlestown Soccer at info@charlestownsoccer.com to discuss the possibilities of a makeup.

If a player is unable to attend evaluations, they will be placed on a team based upon whatever information is available.

Please go to our website at www.charlestownsoccer.com for more details on how we select players for travel teams and for answers to frequently asked questions.
