Give Back Some Parking Spaces to Residents

A request by the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) to raise the fine for non-residents taking up residential spaces during events at TD Garden, City Hall Plaza and local feasts, is still ongoing but at a slow pace.

It’s a simple and helpful idea that will open up additional parking for residents during the above-mentioned parking issues.

Illegal parking during this time. Is a good deal. Parkers receive a $40 fine as opposed to utilizing a private lot for $80 to $100 dollars, while residents scramble to find a space.

The City of Boston Traffic and Parking Department should at least attend a NEWNC public meeting to discuss this possible idea.
