BRA Says Nursing Home Must Remain

A community all-out endeavor to save the Fulton Street Nursing Home from closing has finally paid dividends as the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA) shut the door on a proposal by Partners Health and Spaulding Rehab to do so.

It was a true neighborhood commitment to save their Nursing Home. Residents, elected officials, community organizations, a steering committee and the local media worked together to stop the potential closure.

While there are a few decisions needed to be made in this process, the facility will remain a Nursing Home based on the BRA’s interpretation of the original deed.

This was a true community effort that resulted in a positive decision-More to go!
