North End resident Allison Chester was one of numerous individuals, companies and other agencies that were recipients of the 10th annual Greenovate Boston award winners announced by Boston Mayor Martin J Walsh at a special Earth Day celebration held at Fenway Park.
The award recognizes outstanding achievements in climate action and environmental sustainability among the Boston community. There were more than 80 nominations this year and 14 winners were selected from across the city.
Greenovate Boston is a community-wide initiative to engage residents to help meet the city’s climate and sustainability goals while continuing to make Boston a thriving, healthy and innovative place to live.
Mayor Walsh congratulated all the winners of the awards for exemplifying the spirit of giving back to the community and for helping to make Boston a greener, healthier city.
