Neighborhood Walks produce positive results

Neighborhood engagement walks with the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services and other city departments turned out to be positive events, based on a report issued by Mayor Martin J. Walsh.

The report, a comprehensive evaluation of every street in Boston and the action taken to resolve some of the identified problems were handled immediately, while others are still pending.

The walks turned out to be productive. Hopefully, the Mayor will consider doing it on a yearly basis.

Let Flynn decide what he would like

Once labeled “The People’s Mayor,” Ray Flynn deserves some recognition for his outstanding public service as Mayor, as a Boston City Councilor, as a State Representative and Ambassador to the Vatican.

Flynn’s legacy should be commemorated in one way or another while he can enjoy the honor with his family, friends and fellow elected officials.

Established to find a credible way to honor Flynn, the committee set-up to create a way to pay tribute to Flynn has not proposed any ideas to the City Council and/or the Mayor.

Probably the best way to accomplish this, is to let Flynn decide.

NEBC spruces up Cross Street

The North End Beautification Committee (NEBC) did a great job sprucing up Cross Street which is basically an entrance to the North End.

NEBC is an all volunteer, non-profit agency that has for several years helped beautify the community in numerous ways and at different locations throughout the community.

            More things are being planned by NEBC in the near future.
