Boston Public Market Set to Open This Summer

The Boston Public Market to open its doors to the public this summer.

This summer, the Boston Public Market will open its doors to the long awaited year-round service with over 40 local venders.

Staff are busy finalizing design details, developing hands on cooking classes and the marketplace cement floor has been laid.

Vendors are preparing for the market, seeds have been ordered, new green houses being built and recipes are being developed.

Boston market place has:

  • Completed design and began construction.
  • Launched the vendor selection process, fielding over 350 inquiries of interest.
  • Announced a number of partnerships, most importantly, our founding partner, The Trustees of Reservations, who will lead our programming efforts in the demonstration kitchen.
  • Raised over $10 million from private donors, the philanthropic groups and the Commonwealth.

This season is expected to be the busiest yet. Expect vendor announcements, the launch of a new website, release of class schedules, a series of public events and the grand opening.
