Mayor’s Appointment Vital To Neighborhoods

Marty Walsh is now the official Mayor of Boston and over the next four years he will have many challenges and barriers to break down.

One challenge will be to appoint city directors and commissioners that clearly understand the needs of neighborhoods and a willingness to recognize them and deal with them as well.

While Walsh has the experience and knowledge of how neighborhoods work and their concerns, his administrative staff must have the same in order to assist neighborhoods on a first hand basis.

Keeping in close touch with neighborhoods and their activist is the only way that each community is playing on an even playing field.

The Regional Review has for many years clearly supported the community on any and all issues both good and bad, and offer our experience and knowledge relating to the North End/Waterfront to the new Mayor and his staff.
