Pasquale Bono

Of Revere, Formerly of the North End

Pasquale Bono of Revere, formerly of the North End, died on April 12. He was in his 94th year.

A retired longshoreman and a US Navy veteran of World War II, he was the beloved husband of Mary (DeCristoforo) Bono with whom he shared 55 years of marriage; loving father of Victor Bono of North Carolina and the brother of 10 late siblings.

His Funeral will be held from Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St., Revere today, Tuesday, at 11 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony’s Church, Revere at 2 p.m. Family and friends may visit today from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Committal will be private. Domenic ’John’ Migliero, Jr.

Spinelli Construction and Carpenters’ Union Retiree; shared fruits, especially tomatoes, from his mammoth garden with family, neighbors and friends

Domenic A. “John” Migliero, Jr. an 80 year resident of Revere, formerly of the North End of Boston, died following a long illness at the Lighthouse Nursing Center of Revere on April 3. He was 89 years old.

Born in Boston’s North End, he came to live in Revere with his family in 1933 and remained here until his death. He was a 1941 graduate of Revere High School, a member of the American Legion Post 61 of Revere, the Revere ITAMS and the Carpenters’ Union – Local 33. He served with the US Navy from May of 1943 until February of 1946 as a Seaman 2nd Class and was the recipient of the World War II Victory Medal, American Area Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal with Six Stars and the Philippine Liberation Medal with Two Stars. Most of his working career was spent as a finish carpenter for Inter Union of Carpenters and also for the Spinelli Construction Company. He retired in 1985.

“John” as he was known, especially enjoyed working in his home garden. His garden was mammoth especially the amount, variety and quality of the tomatoes he planted. One of his great joys was sharing the “Fruits” of his labor with his large extended family, neighbors and friends.

He leaves his beloved wife of 37 years, Mildred J. (DuBois) Migliero. He was the dear brother of Angelo “Fred” Migliero and his wife, Jennie of Revere and the late Anthony J. Migliero and Nicoletta St. George and the cherished uncle of many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, Revere. Entombment of his cremains will be held at a later time in the Columbarium at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
