The same week on Thursday, April 11 at 7pm members of the North End/Waterfront Residents’ Association (NEWRA) will meet in the Nazzaro Community Center for their monthly meeting. This Committee also addresses and votes on requests regarding the community and welcomes all residents to attend and participate.

RUFF, (Responsible Urbanities For Fido) will hold its monthly meeting, where else but the Nazzaro Community Center at 7pm. This is a group of resident dog owners that are attempting to work with residents, other dog owners and the city to help keep the community advised especially dog owners, of their responsibilities of picking up after their pets.

All of the above organizations are made up of all volunteers and could use more input from residents.

There are many other local agencies that conduct meetings and can use some assistance, The Health Center, North End Against Drugs, North End Library, North End Athletic Association and local religious societies.

It’s your neighborhood. Why not be a part of it?
