From the Old North Church to Cobbs Hill Burial Ground, every street and alleyway that one walks in our neighborhood is a trip in history. And one of the most significant historic sites is the Paul Revere House in North Square that attracts more than 250,000 visitors a year.
Currently, The Paul Revere Association is in the midst of a $4 million Capital Campaign to work on a phased construction effort to rehab a two-family house that abuts the Paul Revere House.
When completed, this new facility will greatly expand program space and allow for public restrooms, a museum shop and gathering spaces for schoolchildren and groups.
While the campaign is closing in on its goal and it now stands at $3.2 million raised, there is still $800,000 needed to complete the goal and this last amount is always the most difficult to raise.
The Citizens Bank Foundation has recently donated a $30,000 grant toward the campaign. We thank them for their commitment as well as the many others that have already donated.
