“A huge success”. That is the way North End Chamber of Commerce Chairman Frank DePasquale described the 2012 North End Restaurant Week which attracted thousands of patrons to this very popular yearly event.
“The total effort put into Restaurant Week was overwhelming and the results were overwhelming as well,” DePasquale said. “The North End was full of diners through this annual promotion.”
Many North End/Waterfront eateries participated in Restaurant Week which offered discounted luncheons and dinners.
“A terrific ad campaign, including taxi tops (50) attracted customers, tourists, word of mouth and other forms of advertisement like local newspapers, made North End Restaurant Week, hosted by the North End Chamber of Commerce, a huge success,” DePasquale said.
“North End Restaurant Week will become a yearly tradition and get bigger and better each year”, DePasquale added.
Following Restaurant Week, North End businesses were swamped with thousands of people during the Boston Marathon weekend.
