NEWRA Parks and Open Spaces Committee monthly meeting topics included dog issues, the new Snow Hill wall, DeFilippo Playground and the trash issue between the playground and the Brinks Garage wall.
It seems no one can confirm just who owns the area between this wall which is full of trash and other debris that is reportedly become a haven for rats.
Reportedly the bids to repair the Snow Hill Street wall have come in too high. The city either needs to come up with additional funds or re-bid the job.
Dog droppings in the parks and playgrounds continues to be a major problem and it’s not getting any better according to the committee.
Parties continue to take place in the playground on a regular basis also according to the committee.
