MassDOT has cancelled its Parcel 7 & 9 RFP Advisory Committee meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 3 at the Mariners House, according to agency representative John Romano.
Reportedly, the public meeting was discontinued in order that MassDOT could compile more needed information, requested at prior meetings.
The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to advise MassDOT in their preparation for Requests for Proposals for the development and use of both parcels.
Parcel 7 is located between Hanover Street and Sudbury Street in Boston and currently houses Ventilation Building number 4 and a parking garage.
Parcel 9 is located between John Fitzgerald Surface Road and Blackstone Street, adjacent to the Haymarket Pushcart Vendors area and is currently vacant.
The Pushcart Association and several North End residents serve on the Advisory Committee.
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 17 at 6pm at the Mariners House, 11 North Square.
