NSTAR presents NEAD with $5,000 check

NSTAR Gas and Electric Company Executive Walter Salvi has presented North End Against Drugs President John Romano with a $5,000 check enabling the longtime neighborhood group to continue to provide educational programs and activities for local residents during the upcoming year.

NEAD and NSTAR have worked together for many years to develop programs that effectively make residents aware of the dangers of drug and alcohol use.

Their goal is to make a better community by providing education, awareness, positive activities and opportunities for children, teenagers and families.

"NEAD and NSTAR have been a solid team for twenty-one years, and counting," Romano told the Review.

"NEAD is extremely grateful for still another NSTAR grant and for their twenty-one years of support," Romano said.

"Walter Salvi is a very good friend of the community and he continues to support the good efforts of the NEAD Board of Directors and our programs that have been very successful over the years," Romano added.

As the late Robert "Bobby D" DeCristoforo would say, "It’s All About Family!"
