North End Pride Week August 1-8

North End Family Pride Week (Aug. 1 to Aug. 8), eight days of activities, events, games, BBQ, concerts, movies and much more, is the biggest event held in the neighborhood.

The 21st annual event will be held in memory of life-long resident and community activist Robert "Bobby D" DeCristoforo.

This special community event hosted by North End Against Drugs and the Nazzaro Community Center has something for everyone both young and the old.

This popular and well attended neighborhood endeavor concludes with multiple events on Sunday, August 8 with North End Family Pride Day at Langone Park on Commercial Street.

Schedule events include: educational tables by the North End Community Health Center, S.T.E.P Substance Abuse information, Save the Harbor Save the Bay, Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy, US Coast Guard, Mass Water Resource Authority and the Museum of Science.

Additional activities will include: Face Painting, Kiddie Rides, Magic by World Class Magicienne Sandra Shields and much more.

The Boston Host Lions Club Eye Mobile-Free Eye, Hearing & Blood Pressure Screening will be on site.

All the above activities and programs will run from 12 noon to 4:30pm.

Several tournaments, live performances and an art contest will also take place on Sunday.

10am-LaFesta Baseball Tournament (game 2).

12 noon-The Johnny Paolo Bocce Tournament.

12:30pm-NEMPAC Rock Band.

1pm-Street Magic Acappela.

2pm-Nazzaro Center Kids Talent Show.

3:30pm-Crosstown.

All day-Art contest, all ages and prizes.

Sun. Aug. 1 at 5pm-Family Mass, St. Leonard Church.

Mon. Aug. 2 at 6:30pm-NEWNC-Emile Pugliano/Bobby D Neighborhood Family Boat Cruise at.

Tues. Aug. 3 from 6-9pm-National Night Out, Paul Revere Mall(Prado).

Wed. Aug. 4 at 7pm-R.O.C. Teen Saturday Family Movie Night, DeFillippo Park (Gassy).

Thurs. Aug. 5 from 1-3pm-North End Jamboree, Polcari Playground.

Thurs. Aug. 5 from 5:30-8pm-Senior Citizens BBQ & Big Band Concert, Nazzaro Center.

Thurs. Aug. 5 at 7:30pm-North End Women’s Softball All Star Game, Langone Park.

Fri. Aug. 6 at 11am-Puppet Show, North End Library.

Fri. Aug. 6 from 10am-3pm-Bake Sale& Eggplant Sandwiches-NEWENSC, Michelangelo Street.

Fri. Aug. 6 from 6-8pm-Annual NEAA Old Timers Softball All Star Game, Puopolo Park.

Sat. Aug. 7 at 1pm-Annual Little League Family Game, Langone Park.

Sat. Aug. 7 at 5pm-Annual LaFesta Baseball Tournament Game 1, Game 2 Sun. Aug. 8 at 10am, Puopolo Park.
