The North End’s own Trinity Martignetti has been selected to play on America’s Team in a softball tournament in Barcelona Spain in 2026. Trinity, a product of the NEAA softball program, was recruited and selected to be part of a 12 girl high school team that will travel abroad in 2026. The team will fly to Barcelona, Spain and participate in a week-long tournament against a number of teams from Spain. In an excerpt from her recruitment email America’s Team stated: “We work with college coaches all across the country and we want you on our Spain Softball team! You are invited because you are on the recruiting radar of our coaches. We look for great athletes who can play multiple positions and mix and match lineups.” Trinity is currently a senior at Arlington Catholic High School and the team’s starting first base woman. During the summer Trinity plays for the North End Execution. The Execution is an 18u team that travels to play in tournaments at multiple locations. In 2025 Trinity helped lead the Execution to a Mayor’s Cup Championship, a runner-up finish in the Tewksbury Invitational and deep run in a tournament that took place at Hershey Park in Pennsylvania. Trinity is the daughter of lifelong North End resident Ralph Martignetti and his wife Janine. Both her brothers Rick and Mike Martignetti were stalwarts in the NEAA baseball program and led the NEAA Dodgers to multiple championships back during their playing days. We are proud of Trinity and will be cheering her on from afar when she travels to Barcelona.
