N.E.A.A. Flag Football Season Finale

The North End Athletic Association concluded it’s NFL Flag Football season this past Friday night.  Over 250 parents, players, coaches and spectators filled Puopolo Park for the season finale.

N.E.A.A. Commissioner Brian Trojan did another great job this season with help from the N.E.A.A.’s John Romano jr and Brian’s wife Kathleen Krieger.  The N.E.A.A. would also like to thank New England Patriots Alumnus Tully Banta-Cain for attending the season finale and talking with players and coaches prior to the games this week.  Special thanks also to Soleil Desai for singing the National Anthem.

The Silver League Super Bowl was won by the Vikings, the Rose Bowl was won by the Commanders and the Citrus Bowl was won by the Raiders.

In the Gold League, the Super Bowl was won by the Cardinals, while the Rose Bowl was won by the Bengals.

This year close to 100 children participated in the program over 8 weeks, including a Combine in week 1, 6 regular season games and then the Bowl games to wrap up the season.

The N.E.A.A. and Commissioner Trojan would also like to thank  who volunteered throughout the season as referees and other duties as needed.

We look forward to another great Fall season in 2026.

N.E.A.A. Fall Soccer, Girls Field Hockey, Flag Football  Wrap up

The North End Athletic Association ‘s fall line-up of sports programs just concluded their seasons.  It was an amazing year once again with over 330 participants in the three sports.  Puopolo Park was buzzing with activity 6 days a week with practices, games and scrimmages.  Each program is growing in leaps and bounds and parents continue to rave about the quality of the program and the tone and message the N.E.A.A.’s program provides to the youth of the North End community and beyond.  While the bulk of the players are from the North End, we have children from Chinatown, West End, Seaport, Charlestown, East Boston, Winthrop, the Leather District and even beyond that!

“It is amazing to see how much fun everyone is having, from the players and coaches to the parents and grandparents who support the players every week” stated N.E.A.A. Sports Coordinator John Romano, Sr.

The N.E.A.A. programs are run by all volunteer coaches, commissioners and co-ordinators.

Soccer is run by Commissioner John Romano, Sr. along with coordinators Andrew Lamb, Dhiren Thakkar, Sean Drummy, Renato Inacio, Mary O’Neill and super IT coordinator Diane Szulc. Thanks also goes to Jack Jamroz who volunteered to referee many soccer games each week.
