Become a Candidate in NEWNC Elections
Residents interested in serving the neighborhood and have a direct voice to City Hall should consider becoming a candidate in the May 14 North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council (NEWNC) public election to fill six seats on the Council.
NEWNC is the oldest community group elected by residents.
Candidates must secure 40 signatures of residents to be placed on the ballot available on NEWNC Boston and returned by May 2 at 6 PM to: [email protected].
Serving on NEWNC is a great opportunity to help with the issues facing the community by getting involved.

Two Candidates Seek District Council Seat
Two women are campaigning for District 1 Boston City Counsel in a special election on May 3. Both the North End and the Waterfront are part of the community.
Both Tania Del Rio and Gabrielo “Gigi†Coletta are seeking to replace former Counselor Lydia Edwards, now a State Senator, also representing the community.
The neighborhood needs to get out and vote to fill this important Council seat, that will be the go-to person for the neighborhood.
